At SQUADT, active rehabilitation is central. As sports clinicians, we strongly believe in moving again as early as possible, for example through aqua rehabilitation as the first step in the recovery process. Our approach is based on two solid pillars:

From years of experience in sports, we combine manual techniques with functional training that is built up step by step. We train goal-oriented, sport- and need-specific – always tailored to your trajectory as an athlete.

**Methods**

**|** Manual therapy

Focused manual techniques are an essential part of our sports physical therapy. They help treat painful muscles, tendons and joints –structures that directly affect your mobility, flexibility and functional movement.

We always choose the technique that best suits your injury and recovery goal. This can range from mobilizations, manipulations (‘squatting’) and stretching to frictions, myofascial therapy, dry needling and more. We apply these techniques as part of a broader, active rehabilitation, always with a focus on a smooth, sports-oriented recovery.
 

**|** Functional Training

Functional training is an important part of our sports physical therapy. The goal is to balance muscle groups and strengthen movements relevant to daily life or your specific sport.

We deliberately choose to train full muscle chains rather than geïsoleed muscle groups, as is often done in classical fitness. This way we not only improve strength and coördination, but also build stability and injury prevention at the same time. This way of training fits perfectly with rehabilitation: you work on recovery, but also on a stronger and more functional return to sport or activity.
 

**|** Field rehabilitation

At the end of your rehabilitation, we shift up a gear with sport-specific exercise forms on the field or in the sandbox. We build up the load step by step, so that your body becomes accustomed to intensity, directional changes and contact situations again.

You'll work on strength, control and confidence, exactly as you need them in your sport. This is how you return to top form, ready to go full out again and perform at the highest level.
 

**|** Aqua rehabilitation

Rehabilitation in the water is ideal for getting your body actively moving early on, without shock loading. You work on recovery in a focused way, even when walking or other heavy loading is not yet possible.

In the water, we improve your circulation, stimulate healing and maintain fitness. Thus, you will not lose precious time in your rehabilitation process and you will stay physically strong.

**|** Respiration in athletes

Many athletes do not utilize their full physical capacity – often without knowing it. Weak respiratory muscles, such as the diaphragm and intercostal muscles, consume too much oxygen during exercise. Through the Metaboreflex, this leads to less oxygen going to your muscles, especially the legs. Result: reduced performance, faster acidification and a feeling of fatigue that is difficult to place.

Within our sports physical therapy we measure these breathing parameters and train them purposefully. We do this with scientifically based methods, perfectly integrated into your strength and condition training. This way you not only improve your lung capacity and control, but you also get more out of every effort – with more oxygen where you really need it.

Through targeted testing, we identify your risk factors. We compare the results with a database of 15,000 athletes: an objective benchmark for a reliable analysis.
